How big is the Baby?
Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight (via babycenter).

How Life's Changing
| At Spicer Orchards in Michigan |
Nate and I headed to Michigan last weekend for one of my last baby shower's (besides my work one). We had a great time, but let me tell you...riding in the car for 9-10 hours when you are 35 weeks pregnant is so uncomfortable and I would not recommend it. ;-) While I couldn't get comfortable and was in pain from having a baby jabbing my ribcage, our sweet little Bella slept like a rock! So not fair! ;-)

While I was home this weekend I borrowed my Mom's knee-high compression socks and it seemed to help keep the leg swelling down a little bit, but it is still painful when I go for walks...which is a huge bummer. I went ahead and brought the socks home and wear them all day every day. Let me tell ya people, it's a good look. Ha.
Other than my minor leg swelling, I really don't have many complaints. I don't really feel like I am getting any bigger stomach wise. Maybe I just don't notice because I see myself everyday, but I feel like my belly is relatively "small". However, I have noticed that the Lil Nugget is getting bigger and running out of room in there. His movements now are pretty painful and he likes to hang out in my ribcage and that is not fun for Momma.
I just keep reminding myself that soon he will be out in the world and I'm sure there will be times when I miss feeling his big kicks inside of me. I'm just happy we have a healthy, active boy!

How I'm Feeling
I'm feeling excited and anxious...and very hormonal! This past weekend Nate and I were driving through downtown Brighton (the town I "grew up" in) and I noticed that Big Apple Bagel...a favorite place of mine was no longer in business. I looked at Nate and started crying. Seriously. I wasn't weeping or anything, but I did shed a few tears...over a bagel place. What is wrong with me?!

I'm also starting to feel pretty overwhelmed. I know I still have time left, but I feel like there is still so much to do...at home, at work and in general. Now I understand why some women don't work up until the time they have the baby. It all is so overwhelming. I just wish I could focus on one thing and not feel like I am spreading myself so thin. Ugh. This coming weekend is our last packed weekend and then hopefully after that I can get some stuff around the house done and relax?!?!
The nursery is coming along slowly, but surely. I was so excited when I got a sneak peak of the Lil Nugget's quilt earlier this week. It is so so cute and I can't wait to see him laying on it, playing with some fun toys. Honestly though, the nursery is a MESS and it looks like a bomb went off in there. I have no idea where everything is going to go/fit. I truly feel like it will be a miracle if I can get it organized and clean before the little man arrives. *Sigh*
With all that said, I am also getting so excited! Our little man will be here SO SOON! While we were at the orchard last weekend I couldn't help but to be excited that next year we will be able to bring him! So fun! I am also so excited that he'll be here for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love that time of year and the fact that I will get to share it with our new son and family is so exciting. Oh man, I really can't wait.
Speaking of the Lil Nugget, Nate and I bought him a pretty sweet pair of shoes while we were in Michigan. We just couldn't resist...

Pregnancy Milestones
* Nate's annual company party is this weekend. Yep, I will be attending this formal event on the first day of my 36th week. Awesome. ;-)
* Had a great baby shower in Michigan last weekend. Pictures to come...
